Castor Wax

Castor wax flakes are used in a variety of cosmetic and industrial applications. They can be used effectively as a thickening agent for lotions and creams and are commonly found in a wide range of cosmetic products such as lip balms, body creams, hair care products, eye makeup and face foundations. Industrial applications include polished coatings, lubricants and auto maintenance products.

Castor Wax is heavily used in the cosmetic industry when a waxy component is needed in a formulation. It also acts as a thickening and moisturizing agent.

Bees Wax

Castor Wax

Castor Wax

Beeswax is a product made from the honeycomb of the honeybee and other bees. The mixing of pollen oils into honeycomb wax turns the white wax into a yellow or brown color. Beeswax is used for high cholesterol, pain, fungal skin infections, and other conditions.

Beeswax can create a protective layer on the skin. It’s also a humectant, which means that it attracts water. Both of these qualities can help the skin stay hydrated.  Beeswax is also a natural exfoliator, ideal for sloughing away dead skin cells.  By making beeswax into a lotion bar, it will work double-duty to keep your skin soft and hydrated.
